According to the number of episodes, the programme has the Guinness World Record for being the longest-running Indian daily sitcom on television. Neha Mehta, Raj Anadkat, and Shailesh Lodha are just a few celebrities who have marked their exit from the show; now director Malav Rajda has also left the show.

The popular television programme Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has lost its director, Malav Rajda. He has participated in the programme for 14 years. Reports state that Rajda did not say goodbye on the set of the show on his final day of filming, which was on December 15. There were speculations that the Rajda and the production company were at odds, but the director declined on his own.

If you set out to perform good work, there will be creative disagreements within the crew, but the goal is always to better the show, according to Malav Rajda. I didn't have any issues with the producing company. I merely want to express my gratitude for the programme and Asit bhai (show producer Modi)."

He reveals the cause of his departure from the programme. "I believed that after performing on the show for 14 years, I had found my comfort zone. I reasoned that moving out and taking on new challenges would help me to develop creatively."

He also discussed his 14-year journey "The most beautiful years of my life have been these past 14 years. Through this show, I not only gained notoriety and financial success, but also met my future wife Priya (Ahuja Rajda, an actor).
